A specialist Health and Safety Manager is employed by Blackley Group to ensure that the company is an industry leader in this area.
ACC Workplace Safety Management Practices (WSMP) Tertiary Accreditation
With the recent passing into law of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, a person conducting a business undertaking (PCBU) has to clearly demonstrate how they practice health and safety in their place of work, and how they engage with other PCBU’s.
At Blackley’s our requirement for a high level of Health and Safety performance has always been a key attribute in everything we do. This has now been recognised in an audit carried out in October 2015 by ACC where their Workplace Safety Management Practices Programme show that Blackley’s have implemented effective health and safety systems and practices and show we have a framework for building successful and sustainable health and safety systems and practices.
The Tertiary accreditation held by Blackley Construction Ltd, Blackley Equipment Ltd and Blackley Group Ltd is in recognition of our health and safety commitment at the highest level for the wellbeing of our staff, clients, suppliers and visitors; therefore making Blackley’s a contractor of choice.
We give you our personal guarantee that we will be ready for the commencement of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 on the 4th of April 2016.
Site Assessment and Observation Reports
Health and safety is part of Blackley’s overall quality assurance programme, therefore to be able to demonstrate that health and safety practices are being carried out to company and client expectations, unannounced site assessments take place.
The purpose of assessment is to show how well Blackley’s teams are practicing health and safety so the company can ensure workers and others affected by our activities are protected to an acceptable level and identifying where improvements can be made to practices and procedures across the company.
Copies of assessments are provided to our clients, Blackley’s management and workers.
